Barrier Packets contain resources which are designed to help a non-Christian overcome a personal barrier or hurdle which is restricting them from accepting Jesus Christ.

The contents of Barrier Packets are based on survey research which will indicate which topic EI4G will focus upon and what type of medium(s) in which we should deliver the information (i.e. book, audio, video, etc.). A typical Barrier Packet will most likely include a Sermon Book, music CD, letter from EI4G’s Founder, ESV Bible and more!

Barrier Packets will only be recommended if they satisfactorily meet certain requirements ensuring their Biblical accuracy.

The first Barrier Packet is estimated to be announced sometime in 2008, although this date is subject to change.

EI4G’s Mentors serve a vital role in the outreach of the organization. They are the individuals that train, encourage and motivate the organization’s Partners. Two of the many activities Mentors perform to support Partners are weekly phone calls and bi-weekly in-person meetings. Mentors are projected to initially serve as volunteers and most likely as employees in future years.

PDF applications, job descriptions, etc. will also be made available on this page at the time Mentors are being sought.

The Bible places emphasis on the importance of fellowship amongst Christians for encouragement and support. EI4G takes a proactive approach in facilitating fellowship between each Partner of the organization.

EI4G offers various ways in which Partners can enjoy fellowship with each other. A few of the options for fellowship with EI4G are Eternal Events, interactive forums and conferences.

The verses below are a small sample of God’s desire for Christians to partake in regular fellowship:

“not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

EI4G’s interactive forums allow Christians to communicate with each other for the purpose of fellowship and continuous motivation. The forum also allows non-Christians to communicate with industry experts about various topics in which they may have particular interest.

EI4G plans on having either EI4G representatives or industry experts, preferably industry experts, host forums on a regular basis, perhaps monthly, to answer questions from Christians and non-Christians alike concerning a given topic. Those on the mailing list will be notified once a schedule of upcoming forums is announced.

The resources available on the EI4G website will be determined by the data collected during research. If there is a need for people to understand why God allows suffering, EI4G will profile that topic on the website. If it turns out that people don’t accept Jesus Christ because they feel there isn’t enough archaeological evidence, EI4G will provide the necessary information to overcome that obstacle. Perhaps a non-Christian is hesitant to accept Jesus Christ because of an anticipated reaction from family that would be less than pleasant. EI4G would provide the resources on the website on how to best handle the situation.

EI4G wants to eliminate as many roadblocks, obstacles and barriers that currently restrict Washington, DC residents and workers from accepting the truth of Jesus Christ.

The resources on this website are intended for people to strongly consider Jesus Christ, hopefully accepting Him, and those that can help us with this goal.

Ability to Access Past Resources
All research and trends discovered will be archived if not currently being used to promote Barrier Packets, conferences, or EI4G.org. Access to current and past resources will be available to Partners of EI4G.

Ability to Ask EI4G Questions
EI4G.org provides the ability for people to submit questions to EI4G via the website. There is a form that visitors can submit electronically if they would prefer not to call, e-mail or write. EI4G also provides e-mail contacts to which comments and questions may be directed.

Ability to Learn About Jesus Christ
EI4G.org will provide information, either on the site itself or through links to other websites, relevant to those considering a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Ability to Order Barrier Packets
Electronic payment options currently include PayPal. EI4G plans on expanding its payment options in the future.

Ability to Read the Bible Online for Free
In the future, EI4G might provide access to all to be able to read the Bible online. This will most likely be accomplished by promoting links to websites that permit reading the Bible online for free.

Ability to Review Survey Research Data
Partners interested in learning more about the Washington, DC area in terms of evangelism statistics may be granted access to the research conducted by EI4G. At this time it is undecided as to whether or not a fee will be charged for this service. This will be discussed by the Board of Directors at a future date. The availability of this data will be announced to those on the mailing list.

Interactive Web Forum
The interactive web forum provides a place where an industry expert or EI4G representative can answer questions in real-time and host a discussion among those wishing to participate. It is a great way to learn about Jesus Christ for those that are extremely busy or do not wish to meet in-person concerning the given topic. It provides a level of comfort and anonymity for those that desire privacy. Although the frequency has not yet been determined, EI4G plans on starting the first forum about 4 months prior to the first conference and then have monthly forums thereafter.

Sign-Up for Daily Bible Verse via E-Mail
In the future, EI4G might provide links to websites that provide free daily e-mails containing Bible verses with commentary.

View Sermons and Listen to Songs
It’s planned that a section of EI4G.org will allow visitors to download audio versions of songs and sermons relevant to a particular topic EI4G is focusing upon. Archived sermons and songs from past topics will also be made available as deemed appropriate by EI4G.

EI4G will conduct extensive research to understand the answers to two specific questions:

1. Why do Washington, DC Christians choose to not evangelize?
2. Why have Washington, DC non-Christians chosen to either reject or not yet accept Jesus Christ?

This research is conducted mostly by phone and to a much lesser degree by distribution of pamphlets and in-person meetings. The phone is used primarily for the purposes of cost effectiveness, timeliness and overall efficiency. Statistics show that, regardless of demographics, 96% of homes have a phone. This allows EI4G to get a sample representative of the population of Washington, DC.

EI4G conducts survey research by calling residents of Washington, DC and asking for them to answer a few survey questions lasting just a few minutes. EI4G’s contact list is generated by retrieving names and phone numbers via Yahoo people search as well as other free online directories.

EI4G desires to have 1065+ surveys completed for the initial phase of survey research to provide an accurate enough assessment (based on desired confidence intervals and confidence levels) of what the major trends are in Washington, DC.

The data collected from this research is extremely important to the activities of EI4G. This data builds the foundation of all efforts as it informs the organization as to what topic should be focused upon and, in turn, which resources to research and eventually recommend through Barrier Packets. This data will also greatly impact the nature of EI4G’s conferences.
